  • Flat sketch/Flat drawing

    An illustration that indicates the design details of a fashion product. It is often attached to a specification sheet.

  • Flat sleeve cap

    The flat part at the top of the sleeve.

  • Flat sleeve cap ratio

    Ratio when connecting the flat sleeve cap to the body.

  • Flat sleeve cap width

    Width of the horizontal part at the top of the sleeve.

  • Flechage before machi

    A Machi type knitted with a triangular extra part by inside widening and flechage on body. The range of motion of the side is widened, which is also used for sportswear.

  • Flechage knitting

    A knitting method in which carriers move back and forth according to the inclination of the pattern paper.

  • Floating jacquard

    A type of jacquard in which one color knits the front stitches and the other yarn floats behind the front stitches. The knitted fabric is lightweight, but the pattern interval has limitation.

  • Floor

    The floor image displayed on the XZ plane (a plane passing through the X and Z axes) in the virtual space. It is displayed when the Fitting menu (or Coordinates menu) > ▼ key > [Show Floor] is effective. When it is displayed , the pattern will not penetrate below during the fitting simulation.

  • Font

    A type of character information that can be input in data. Unlike [Text], it does not need to belong to a pattern, and can be written on the screen as a simple memo.

    It is also used as data to be printed by the automatic labeling machine [P-LAB].

  • Form

    Shaping of registered seam allowances, mirror registration, or notch points and notch assist lines with pattern lines.

  • Four needle bed

    Mechanism of 2 upper needle beds and 2 lower needle beds.

  • Free style

    Any shape that can be processed with Shaping KnitPaint.

  • Front drop

    Opening from neck to chest.

  • Front knit

    Knitting on the front needle bed or its stitch.

  • Front knit

    A loop knitted by the front bed.

  • Front panel

    A plate which drops the fabric in front of the knitting machine after knitting one piece.

  • Front pile

    The piles on the frontside of a towel.

  • Front shoulder knitting

    Knitting on front shoulder part. Used in contrast to back shoulder knitting.

  • Front/back knit

    A knitting method to knit alternately using front and back needles. Double jersey.

  • Full

    A process in which pressure is applied to fibers such as wool to combine the structures and increase thickness and strength (making it into a felt).
