  • Shearing

    The after process that cuts the 1/2-1/3 of the towel piles.

  • Short stroke

  • Shoulder drop

    Shoulder inclination.

    A device that removes the slack in the yarn when the carrier is reversed.

  • Side tension dial

    Knitting setting that emphasizes style and silhouette rather than ease of knitting the product. Used in contrast to knitting priority.

  • Similar pattern

    An pattern similar to the specified pattern.

  • Single jacquard

    A jacquard fabric knitted by a circular machine that has single layered needles. The backside of the fabric has floating yarns.

  • Single jersey, plain knitting

    One of the three basic knitting structures. A knitting method in which the same structure (only the front stitch and only the back stitch) is continuous in both the vertical and horizontal directions.

  • Sinker

    Generic term for fixed sinker and movable sinker.

  • Sinker loop

    Loop created by sinker. Used in contrast to needle loop.

  • sknp

    Data such as original drawing ([S-04] and above).

  • Sleeve cap

    The shape of the mountain from the middle part to the upper part in the paper pattern of the sleeve.

  • Slide

  • Slider

    Components of the slide needle set. It works mainly during transfer.

  • Slub yarn

    A yarn with irregular knots (slub) created by loosening the twists partially. A type of design yarn.

  • Smoothing

    To smooth the edge of an image when enlarging/reducing letters and images for display and print.

  • SP neck

    A type of collar (back collar) knitted in a special way. While knitting the collar, it is attached to the back neckline.
