  • Raster data

An image made of very small squares called pixels and can be shaded. When scaled, the entire image may be blurred and lines may be jagged. Related word: Vector data

  • Real size

To display a file in lifesize on the monitor.

  • Real time 3D view

A function which displays 3D model created in PGM or 3DModelist while editing its design in Design. The updates on the patterns, the colors, and the structures are reflected on the 3D model real time.

  • Registration (seam allowance, symmetry registration)

Seam allowance and symmetry registration are not shaped by pattern lines.

At this time, the pattern is in the following state.

    * Seam allowance: It is possible to easily modify seam allowances such as seam allowance width and corner processing. Modifying the pattern shape is also reflected in the seam allowance shape.

    * Symmetry registration: If you modify the pattern shape, it is also reflected on the reverse side.

When [Always-display mode] is ON, registered lines are displayed in dark green.

  • Repeat pattern

A pattern made by repeating a base pattern regularly.

  • RESET

Setting of the knitting machine controller when the state of the knitting machine is set to the origin and reset state. Return the stitch motor and racking motor to the origin position. Reset the carrier catching pin and cam/presser in the carriage.

  • Retouch

The process modifying a photograph or a digital image.

  • Reverse Jacquard

To use the backside of jacquard fabric as a design.

  • Reverse overlap

The moved loops overlap on the front side. Used in contrast to normal overlap.

  • Reverse twist

When 2 single yarns are combined to make a twin yarn, the twist is given in the same direction of the lower single yarn. This type of twist is called “Reverse twist”. Related word: Normal twist

  • Reversed (single) jersey, back single jersey

Back knit = back stitch = back single jersey

  • Rib jacquard

A type of Jacquard of flat knitting. There are two typical types of rubber Jacquard. Full needle: All colors are knitted on the back side (the backside looks like stripe). 1 x 1: All colors are knitted 1 loop per 2 needles on the backside. (the back side looks like a dappled pattern).

  • Rib knitting

One of the three basic knitting structures. The front and back stitches of the vertical lines are knitted alternately one line at a time or multiple lines at a time.

  • Rotation

Move the front fabric to the back empty needle and rotate the knitted fabric.

  • Rough cutting lines

Line used to cut the outer circumference of the pattern line.

  • Roughness map

One of the texture maps which sets the roughness of an object’s surface. Higher values give the surface a smooth and shiny texture, while lower values give a rough and unshiny texture.

  • Rule formula grading

A method of formulating the amount of movement of the grading point and developing the size.

  • S paint

    Manually creating patterns.

  • S000

Auto process data ([V-01] and above).

  • S999

    Adjustment data ([V-01] and above).
