  • Needle hook

    The part that hooks the yarn.

  • Needle selection

    Activate the needle by the carriage mechanism.

  • Nest

    Patterns that are developed in size are grouped by overlapping each size for each part.

  • New group

    When [Save as new group] is used, a folder with the same name as the specified file name is automatically created, and the data can be saved in that folder.

  • No step repeat

    To repeat the smallest unit of the total pattern without shifting to horizontal or vertical. Related word: Step repeat

  • No. of Floating

    The length of the floating yarn in the unit of needles. The max. length can be set in Jacquard Setting (Circular Knitting) > Jacquard Type > Single/Single Stripe > Process of Back Side > No. of Floating

  • Non-twisted yarn

    A type of yarn made without twisting.

  • Normal connection

    One type of connection between body and sleeves. A connection method in which the sleeves are moved to the body at once by a large racking.

  • Normal cut

    A notch cutting method in which the shape of the notch is also cut while cutting the pattern line.

  • Normal hook

    MM hook. Special large hook is LL hook.

  • Normal map

    One of the texture maps used for indicating the directions of normal lines. It indicates the bumps of the appearance.

  • Normal overlap

    The moved loops overlap on the back side. Used in contrast to reverse overlap.

  • Normal stitch

    If you draw a color no. for 2nd stitch, that part becomes 2nd stitch and the others become normal stitch.

  • Normal twist

    When 2 single yarns are combined to make a twin yarn, the twist is given in the opposite direction of the lower single yarn. This type of twist is called “Normal twist”. Related word: Reverse twist

  • Notch

    The information that cuts into the pattern. Input for the points of the pattern line.

  • Notch knife

    Knife for cutting details such as notches on a one-ply automatic cutting machine.

  • Notch line

    A line with information that cuts into a pattern. A type of assist line that displays a black line and color points for each notch type when [Always-display mode] is ON.

  • Notch that is cut first

    Cut the target first. (e.g.) Notch that is cut first: Cuts all notches first before cutting the pattern lines. Pattern line that is cut first: Cuts the pattern lines before internal lines such as cutting lines.

  • Nozzle check

    A check to see if the nozzle of the printer is clogged.

  • Number of Machi stitches

    No. of knitting course of sleeve for machi.
